Naruto licensed :(

I think that when Naruto Fans see the title of this thread, they will want to scream. Our worst fears are finally seeing the light of day. Naruto has at long last been licensed!

In a press release by TV TOKYO Corporation And Shueisha Inc., ShoPro Entertainment was appointed to distrabute Naruto TV, Home video and merchandising rights in North and Latin America. The Manga has been licensed as well.

For those not familiar with ShoPro, they are the Official License holders of anime series such as...

Hamtaro
MegaMan NT Warrior
Croket
Inuyasha
Mirmo!
Sonic X
Taro the Space Alien
Doraemon
Zatch Bell!
Deko Boko Friends
Monkey Turn
Corrector Yui

This of course has direct consequences on Otakus all around the world. With Naruto being licensed, will our favourite Fansub groups still deliver our weekly dose of Naruto? Anbu Aone have a policy not to sub licensed anime which could deprive Naruto Fans of 1 of the best Subbers in the industry.

As of this moment, Dattebayo Fansubs have not posted anything on there website to indicate if they will continue fansubbing Naruto. One suspects that this weeks usual Dattebayo fansub of Naruto will be available at its appointed time but then serious thought should be given to whether subbing of the series will continue.

Lets all remember what happened to AnimeSuki, wannabe Fansubs and Lunar. They received litigation letters for subbing School Rumble? I'm 90% sure that ShoPro are ready for Pirated acts of "their" merchandise and will have devised a plan to curb pirated Naruto Media. That however won't stop us from getting our weekly dose of Naruto now will it?

good news is there are still places to download it for the earlier episodes they are just lower quality im glad my friend has em all on high quality from a while back so i caught up with him i cant wait for 129 :P
