They paid 9 each. 9*3 = 27. The room costs 25 actually. The bellboy pockets 2.
27 - 2 = 25.
It started with 30 so 30-(3+2)= 25
so in one big equation:
(9*3) - 2 = 30-(3+2)
27 - 2 = 30 - 5
25 = 25
No dollar lost <.< >.>
