Thank goodness you did not see Robotech. Pls stay away. Robotech is not Macross. And Macross is so much more than Robotech. Robotech is just sacrilege so IMHO no self-respecting anime fans would give the series the kind of attention its been receving all these years.
Macross will always have a special place in my heart cos it was one of those series that got me hooked on anime in the first place. And it would take a hellva series to dislodge the series from my heart.
