if those interested in subtitles, you can rip subtitles using VobSub
Vobsub (latest version : 2.23)

you will also need it to enable you to see subtitles in vids with subtitles support...
supported subtitles format are *.ssa, *.vob, *.srt, *.sub
OGG Directshow Filter (latest version : 0.9.9.6... though version 0.9.9.5 is deemed more stable)

some vids are in the *.ogm extension, you will need this codec... also, some vids with subtitles are in this format... so this OGG format vids might also require VobSub, but it is not always so
